EnergyCostHub guide

Editorial Policy

EnergyCostHub explains assumptions clearly and avoids guaranteed savings claims.

EnergyCostHub aims to publish plain-language, original calculator guidance that helps households understand energy-cost decisions. We distinguish estimates from confirmed utility tariffs, installer quotes, incentives, and official eligibility rules.

When we update assumptions or factual guidance, we prefer official regulator, government, utility, manufacturer, or program-administrator sources. A source may describe a market average rather than a household-specific rate, so each calculator labels defaults as illustrative and editable.

We review assumptions when material tariffs, incentive rules, or calculation methods change, and we welcome correction requests through the contact form. A correction is assessed against available evidence before publication; commercial relationships do not determine the outcome.

EnergyCostHub does not provide financial, legal, tax, or official policy advice. Calculator results are estimates for informational use.
